Barrow-upon-Humber and Barrow Haven
War Memorial
Barrow’s war memorial can be found
in the grounds of the church. The memorial records the names of 38
First World War deaths and 11 from the Second World War. The
memorial was unveiled on 2 July 1921 by Lieutenant-Colonel Harold
Graham Wilson and dedicated by the Bishop of Lincoln. A report of
the unveiling appeared Lincolnshire Star newspaper on 9 July
1921.
There are other casualties of both
the first and second world wars buried in Barrow cemetery, but not
commemorated on the memorial.
