The main memorial can be found on the wall of the Lady Chapel. In the style of a triptych, the names are engraved in black on the three-panel wooden memorial. Some of the names at the base of the each column are faded and extremely difficult to read.
The church served the families who lived in the densely populated terraced houses of what was then called New Cleethorpes. The small properties were built to accommodate the house to thousands of people who moved to the area to work in the fishing industry. As a result, there are more names on this memorial than many of the others in the area.
As well as the main memorial, the chapel also had a number of brass wall plaques commemorating individuals who died in the First World War.
Opposite the main memorial is a Greek icon, which was presented to the church following the First World War.
During the First World War, the church was used by the Red Cross - many of the 3rd Manchester Regiment were brought to St Aidan's following the bombing of he Baptist Church in Cleethorpes where they were billeted.
The name S Wheelhouse appears on the memorial - commemorating Grimsby Town Football Club captain, Sid Wheelhouse, who joined the footballers' battalion, but was killed in action in France.
The memorial reads:
