SHONA HAS PUT HER NAME TO a motion in Parliament recognising the dangers and cost of the recent cold weather to vulnerable people and congratulating the 'Home Heat Helpline' who do a great job in advising people on how best to manage their fuel bills. She is also encouraging her constituents to pick up a copy of the 'Little Book of Energy'.
The Home Heat Helpline (0800 336 699) is a free-phone energy helpline that wants to help people tackle fuel poverty. It helps by allowing users to get the information and services they need to manage their bills and lower their fuel use.
It is available to everyone but is mostly aimed at older people, those with young families or disabled people. It gives customers direct access to free insulation, reduced tariffs from energy suppliers and a range of other services.

"This winter has been one of the coldest on record and it looks like temperatures are going to stay low for some time. That is why it is important that people have the best information and services available to them so that they can make real saving on their energy bills."
Shona is also encouraging people to look at the 'Little Book of Energy' which gives valuable tips and information for households. You can pick up one of these books for free by dropping in at Shona's office at:
